The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area is one of China's most open and economically dynamic regions. In recent years, supported and driven by national and local policies, it has developed into a major hub for the biomedicine industry in China. It is projected that by 2028, the total GDP of the health industry in the Greater Bay Area will reach CNY 2 trillion, and by 2030, it will grow to a scale of CNY 2.5 to 3 trillion.
The inaugural CPHI South China exhibition was successfully held in Guangzhou in 2023, attracting professional visitors from 35 countries and regions worldwide. This event has helped Chinese pharmaceutical companies accelerate their expansion into the Greater Bay Area and broader Asian markets.
In 2024, CPHI & PMEC South China (Shenzhen) will reach a new milestone, continuing to focus on the development of the pharmaceutical industry in the Greater Bay Area. The exhibition will take place from September 9 to 11 at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center (Futian). This year’s event will extend its influence across the Asian market, emphasizing transformation and upgrading in areas such as new drug R&D and process technology innovation, with the aim of creating a more precise, professional, and technology-driven platform for industrial advancement.
